Tourism potential

Zaporizhzhia is a spiritual center of Ukraine, a birthplace of Ukrainian nation-building, democratic traditions and people’s power. Famous cultural artifacts such as Khortytsia Island, Dnipro Hydroelectric Power Plant, and Sobornyi Avenue are forever associated with Zaporizhzhia and give it its uniqueness. Khortytsia Reserve is included in the State Register of Monuments of Ukraine. There are 63 archeological and historical monuments on its territory, 33 of which are on the national register

Over five hundred multi-story buildings and 400 private sector houses have been damaged by russian missiles in Zaporizhzhia since the beginning of the war. 12 private houses have been completely ruined by the direct hits, seven multi-storey buildings are now without entrances and 275 apartments have been destroyed.

Moreover, enemy missiles damaged 26 schools, 17 kindergartens, two out-of-school educational institutions, a hospital, a polyclinic and two medical outpatient clinics.
