POKROVSKY LEISURE CENTRE

Project objectives: creation of a modern cultural services centre on the basis of the Pokrovske Leisure Centre, a municipal cultural institution.
The main goal of the project - carrying out a set of works to modernise the building and the adjacent territory of the institution in accordance with the requirements of the time (energy efficiency - accessibility - safety - barrier-free).
Project invisages: construction and installation works using energy-saving technologies
• repair and re-equipment of the stage and auditorium for 630 seats;
• arrangement of the shelter;
• ensuring unimpeded access to the facility for people with disabilities;
• creation of areas for comfortable leisure activities;
• arrangement of a park area on the territory adjacent to the establishment.

RECONSTRUCTION OF THE WATER SUPPLY GRID

The project envisages the reconstruction of 9 km of the central water supply system in Pokrovske with the connection of subscribers to the reconstruction site and the installation of a third lift pumping station with a drinking water tank.
The project will improve the quality of centralised water supply services and provide quality drinking water to the population of Pokrovske (12,536 people, including 3,047 internally displaced persons).

CONSTRUCTION OF WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITIES

In order to improve the environmental situation in the community and introduce modern wastewater treatment technologies, this project is planned to build modern wastewater treatment facilities in Pokrovske that will meet current sanitary requirements.
The implementation of this project will provide an opportunity to improve the quality of wastewater services for almost 22,600 residents of the community, including 3,047 IDPs.

PROVISION OF HOUSING FOR INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS

The project aims to increase the level of housing provision for internally displaced persons in need of better living conditions by creating a fund of housing for temporary residence.
The project envisages the reconstruction of a non-residential building of a non-operational pre-school educational institution with an area of 1134 sq m. As a result of the refurbishment and re-purposing of the premises, the project envisages the construction of 14 apartments for at least 10 IDP families.

RECONSTRUCTION AND MODERNISATION OF THE SPORTS SCHOOL BUILDING

Project invisages creation of comfortable conditions for physical education classes and go in for sports of all Pokrivska Community citizens.
May 2023 school building has been damaged due to rocket attack and was entered into the State Register of Damaged and Destroyed Property.
The project envisages:
production of design and estimate documentation
carrying out construction and installation works using energy-saving technologies;
reconstruction and re-equipment of swimming pools and showers, the first and second floor lobby, and the ventilation system;
installation of a modular boiler house;
arrangement of the shelter;
modernisation of water supply and sewage system;
modernisation of the power supply system.

INSTALLATION OF A ROOFTOP SOLAR POWER PLANT

Pokrovske Primary Healthcare Centre enterprise provides healthcare services to the population of three territorial communities: a settlement and two villages, and is maintained on the basis of inter-municipal cooperation.
The outpatient clinic services are used by 22,500 people, including 3,000 internally displaced persons. During the period of martial law, monthly patient care increased by 16% to an average of 4,928 people in need of medical observation and timely medical services.
Taking into account the instability of the centralised power grid and the possibility of blackouts, it is planned to install a 20 kW rooftop solar network solar station on an area of 400 sq m to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the Pokrovska outpatient clinic's medical equipment and provide quality medical services to the population.

OVERHAUL OF THE SOCIAL SERVICE CENTRE

Project invesages creating modern, comfortable living conditions and care for the elderly in the inpatient care unit for permanent or temporary residence of the Pokrovsk Territorial Centre for Social Services (social services) and promoting the unit both in the communities of the region and beyond.
Overhaul of the roof, heating system, insulation of the building's facades with the replacement of window blocks and the ventilation system of the kitchen of the inpatient care unit for permanent or temporary residence of the Pokrovske Territorial Centre for Social Services (provision of social services).

Implementation of energy saving measures in educational institutions Pokrovske gymnasium №1 and Pokrovske gymnasium №2
What have been done: In July 2013, Pokrovske community received 107 metal-plastic windows and 6 doors to replace the damaged ones, installed in two educational institutions, under the USAID DOBRE Rapid Response Project.

Goal: restoring the communication environment for internally displaced people, people with disabilities and families in difficult life circumstances.
What have been done: the window and door units of the Pokrovske Leisure Centre, a municipal cultural institution, damaged by a blast wave in March 2012, were replaced.

CREATION OF A LOGISTICS CENTRE

Partners: U-lead with EuropeGoal: ensuring food security in the community, supporting small and medium-sized businesses.
What have been done: the premises with an area of 306 sq m were renovated and communications and infrastructure were prepared. Equipment for the logistics centre was purchased (refrigeration equipment, equipment for unloading products, materials for packaging).Since August 2023, the logistics centre has been operating as a centre for unloading and distributing humanitarian aid to IDPs and socially vulnerable groups.
