Reconstruction of the therapeutic department of Boryspil Multidisciplinary Intensive Care Hospital into a 40-bed rehabilitation centre with a radiation shelter for 200 people, providing rehabilitation services for military personnel, IDPs and civilians. The project includes accessibility improvements, 36 jobs and two new free rehabilitation services.

The project envisages the construction of a two-block building comprising an outpatient clinic with family doctors’ offices, dental services and a pharmacy, as well as an inpatient unit for people requiring ongoing care. A dual-purpose radiation shelter will be provided in the basement.

The project envisages the construction of a new road connecting the T-10-12 Kyiv–Boiarka highway with the 0101317 Tarasivka–Kruhlyk–Khotiv road via Boiarka and Tarasivka. The project will reduce traffic congestion, improve road safety and capacity, shorten travel times and support local development

IMPLEMENTATION OF STRATEGIC PROJECTS

Metropolitan Mobility: Developing Intermunicipal Cooperation and Data-Driven Governance in the Kyiv Agglomeration

Partners / Participants / Donors: Association of Local Self-Government Bodies “Kyiv Agglomeration”, member communities of the Agglomeration, Council of Europe Office in Ukraine.
Objective:
To create a unified system for collecting and analysing transport data across the Kyiv Agglomeration and an intelligent dashboard to support joint management decisions.
Work undertaken: A unified transport database and dashboard are being developed, along with mobility studies, a Data Governance model and an intermunicipal coordination mechanism. Training for communities on working with data and using the dashboard is also planned.

SUBURBAN RAIL EXPRESS “FASTIV – KYIV – BROVARY”

Partners / Participants / Donors: Association of Local Self-Government Bodies “Kyiv Agglomeration”, member communities, JSC “Ukrainian Railways”, Kyiv Regional Military Administration, as well as World Bank experts and transport sector specialists.
Objective: To establish a fast, regular Fastiv–Kyiv–Brovary rail service and an integrated suburban transport network to improve accessibility, reduce travel times and provide an alternative to road transport.
Work undertaken: The express route concept and preliminary calculations have been developed. The project has been discussed with communities, JSC “Ukrainian Railways”, Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Kyiv City State Administration, the World Bank and sector experts. The transport model, rolling stock modernisation, intermunicipal coordination and financing, including through Public Service Obligations (PSO), are being defined. The project is being prepared for implementation and requires partnerships and funding.
