RESTORATION OF CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE FACILITIES AT KRYVBASVODOKANAL

As a result of russia's destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, on which Kryvyi Rih and Kryvyi Rih district depended for 70% of their water supply, more than 740,000 people were at risk of complete dehydration. Since this water intake is the only one in the city and the reservoir is the only source of water intake, it is proposed to create an additional water supply complex to provide water to the city's population in the event of a missile attack on the existing critical infrastructure facility. The missile attack completely destroyed the structures of the left-bank spillway and the building of the lifting mechanisms of the Karachunivsky hydroelectric power station. About 300,000 residents of Kryvyi Rih and neighbouring communities were left without water supply.
The project aims to build a modern water treatment complex with a capacity of 320,000 m3/day at the Karachunivske reservoir, using advanced technologies and equipment, mechanisation and automation.

ESTIMATED COST: 124 743 000 €

RESILIENCE OF KRYVBASVODOKANAL TO BLACKOUTS. DECENTRALISATION OF ELECTRICITY SUPPLY, CONSTRUCTION OF A SOLAR POWER PLANT.

To minimise the risks of blackouts, which russia is threatening this year, there is a need to build a solar power plant as an additional independent source of electricity, as the shutdown of water supply systems and pumping stations, the lack of water circulation in the system at low temperatures can lead to the complete destruction of the water supply and sewage system and an environmental disaster.

RESILIENCE OF THE HEAT SUPPLY SYSTEM TO BLACKOUTS. INSTALLATION OF BLOCK BOILERS AT MUNICIPAL FACILITIES

To minimise the risk of blackouts, ensure reliable heat supply, reduce fuel and energy consumption, and reduce CO2 emissions, it is necessary to install block boilers at municipal facilities.
Decentralisation of the heating system for healthcare facilities where military personnel, IDPs and city residents are treated will ensure a stable treatment and rehabilitation process, as well as independence from centralised heating for hospitals and other consumers.

TECHNOLOGY PARK (INNOVATIKA)

The main goal is to reduce labour migration and bring back the city's residents who have moved abroad.
The Technopark project is aimed at creating a leading centre for innovation and research in the areas of ecology, seismicity of construction facilities and rock stability, energy efficiency, mining and geological and military industries.
The Technopark will become a centre for start-ups, researchers and innovators to collaborate and develop innovative solutions in the areas of energy efficiency, mining, geological exploration and military technologies.

ESTIMATED COST: 3 900 000 $

KRYVBAS INDUSTRIAL PARK

The main goal is to reduce labour migration and return the city's residents who have gone abroad.
The creation of the Kryvbas IP will ensure the formation of mechanisms to meet the demand of investors (participants) for sites prepared for the location of innovative, industrial, logistics and related services, the development of modern production and market infrastructure, small and medium-sized businesses, and the creation of new jobs for city residents and internally displaced persons.
In order to implement the model of the industrial park, including industrial symbiosis of all participants of Kryvbas IP for its development, it is planned to perform tasks aimed at improving environmental, energy and economic indicators that ensure a positive environmental effect and have a minimal impact on the environment.
Establishment and operation of the Kryvbas IP in the city can facilitate the location and launch of relocated enterprises, employment of city residents and internally displaced persons who have moved from the territories where hostilities are taking place or there is a threat of hostilities.

ESTIMATED COST: 3 600 000 $

MODERNISATION OF ENERGY CONSUMPTION SYSTEMS

The project envisages the full or partial thermal modernisation of educational and healthcare facilities, including: modernisation of the heating system with the installation of individual heat points (IHPs) with weather control of the heat carrier, insulation of building structures, attics, replacement of windows and doors with energy-efficient ones, replacement of heat supply networks and other energy-efficient measures.
This will make it possible to reduce energy consumption while ensuring sufficient comfort for students and staff of educational institutions, as well as for healthcare professionals and their patients.
As a result, educational and healthcare facilities will be able to consume almost half as much energy, saving up to 40% of the standard heat consumption and 5% of electricity.

MODERNISATION OF TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE, ROAD RECONSTRUCTION

Gagarin Avenue is one of Kryvyi Rih's main transport routes, providing traffic for city cars and electric vehicles and connecting three city districts.
The total length of the avenue is 1.75 km, the width is 20 m and the area is 35,000 m². There are 42 high-rise buildings on the avenue. A total of 8,640 people live within the avenue.
The reconstruction of Gagarin Avenue is planned due to a significant increase in the number of traffic loads, which requires strengthening of the roadway structure. The condition of the existing sidewalks, pedestrian crossings and the absence of a bicycle lane and passenger traffic do not meet the appropriate traffic safety requirements.
The reconstruction includes the complete replacement of utilities and communications in the underground part of the avenue.

ESTIMATED COST: 22 200 000 €

CONSTRUCTION OF HOUSING FOR INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS

Almost 80,000 internally displaced people have arrived in Kryvyi Rih since the start of the military aggression.
The shortage of affordable housing and war-related unemployment for many families creates conditions in which they cannot afford to provide a home for a long time.
Today, the issue of providing IDPs with affordable temporary housing in Kryvyi Rih is an urgent one. The aim of the project is to comprehensively restore dormitory buildings (which have not been used for more than 15 years) to residential readiness, which will provide housing for about 500 families.

DAMAGED EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES. CONSTRUCTION OF MODULAR CIVIL PROTECTION STRUCTURES

Kryvyi Rih is a frontline city that suffers from missile attacks by the russian federation. The missile attacks are aimed at destroying the city's infrastructure and pose an additional threat to the lives and health of its residents. Since the beginning of hostilities, 76 educational institutions in the city have been damaged. Therefore, one of the main priorities of the authorities, especially since the beginning of the school year, is to ensure the protection of young residents who are eager to learn and acquire new knowledge.
Of the 76 damaged educational institutions, 43 that had the technical capability to do so repaired their shelters at the expense of the city budget. However, to date, this does not fully ensure a safe offline educational process. At present, at least 40 modular protective structures are needed to protect children's lives and health during school.

ESTIMATED COST: 15 000 000 €
