Industrial Park “INNOVATION FORPOST”, Dnipro City

The “INNOVATION FORPOST” Industrial Park in Dnipro is an investment project of the city aimed at revitalizing an old industrial zone based on the principles of the green transition, creating innovative production facilities, new jobs, and ensuring the city’s sustainable economic development.

Reconstruction of the Central Aeration Station in Dnipro City

The project provides for the replacement of technological pipelines and equipment with energy-efficient ones, the construction of a mechanical sludge dewatering facility, and the implementation of modern disinfection technology and an automation system.

Development of municipal facilities in Dnipro City: Establishment of the STEM Center “DoSvit”

The project involves the creation of a modern STEM center in Dnipro City, whose main activity will be providing young people with knowledge in the most relevant natural science subjects: physics, astronomy, biology, chemistry, geography, and computer science (robotics, programming).

Estimated budget: €3 120 000

    Project initiator, implementer, and balance holder: Department of Humanitarian Policy of the Dnipro City Council

    Financing: The design and estimate documentation was developed using local budget funds. The project is planned to be implemented through mixed financing (local budget funds and grant assistance or a state budget subvention, sourced from loans provided by international financial organizations).

Design and construction of a radiation therapy bunker with a linear accelerator at Hospital No. 4 in Dnipro City

Design and construction of a radiation therapy bunker with a linear accelerator (Varian/Elekta) and a specialized department at the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise “City Clinical Hospital No. 4” of the Dnipro City Council, including the procurement and installation of the linear accelerator.

Estimated budget: €4,500,000 (for design, construction, procurement, and installation of the accelerator and other necessary equipment)

PROJECT SCOPE

  • Established and registered in the Register of Industrial Parks of Ukraine in 2018 for a 45-year term

    Managing company - Municipal Enterprise “Dnipro Development Agency” of the Dnipro City Council.

  • Located 4.6 km from the center of Dnipro, with access to the international highway M30

  • The entire territory is organized into 35 plots with assigned cadastral numbers

  • Main networks for water supply, sewage, and gas are in place

  • Adequate supply of skilled personnel, as Dnipro is a city of over one million residents and the center of the Dnipro metropolitan area

  • The industrial park’s managing company, Dnipro Development Agency, provides project and technical documentation

Project Goal:Creation of a modern industrial zone on 49.5 ha — a technopolis with infrastructure, a business incubator, production facilities, and innovative, residential, and social components. Ensure energy capacity (16.5 MW), create new jobs, and attract investments.
Implementation:● Preparation of project documentation completed● Park registered in the Register of Industrial Parks● Transformer substation constructed● Two buildings restored for park residents● Memorandum signed with a resident company

Dnipro City Tram Network Modernization Project

Partners / Participants / Donors: European Investment Bank (EIB), Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, Ministry of Communities and Territories Development (MinRegion), Municipal Enterprise “Dnipro Electric Transport”, Dnipro City Council
Project Goal:Ensure modern, safe, and eco-friendly electric transport by modernizing infrastructure, improving passenger comfort, and meeting European standards.
Implementation:● Overhauled the tram line: replaced tracks and contact networks, improved surrounding areas.● Under the “Urban Public Transport of Ukraine II” project (EIB), signed an agreement to purchase new low-floor trams 26–27 m in length.● Upgraded tram stops: installed barrier-free platforms with enhanced waiting conditions.

Water Pipeline Reconstruction Project

Partners / Participants / Donors: JSC Ukreximbank, Municipal Enterprise “Dniprovodokanal” of the Dnipro City Council(Project financed through a mixed scheme: bank loan and enterprise’s own funds)
Project Goal:Provide Dnipro residents with high-quality water and reduce water losses. The pipeline reconstruction is part of the Dnipro Municipal Utilities Development Program 2024–2028, enhancing the reliability of city infrastructure.
Completed Works:● Dismantled old pipeline sections (Ø1200 mm, Ø1000 mm) and non-operational heating networks● Installed all foundation slabs for movable supports● Completed construction of sump pits for drainage and emergency discharge pipelines
Final Stage of Works:● Laying new pipelines: transit (Ø630 mm) — 92% completed, residential area (Ø630 mm) — 92%, local (Ø315 mm) — 92%● Construction of pipeline openings — 80% completed

Increasing Energy Efficiency of Public Buildings in Dnipro City

Partners / Participants / Donors: European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Municipal Enterprise “Dnipro Municipal Energy Service Company”, Dnipro City Council, Department of Innovative Development, E5P Fund
Project Goal:Implement energy modernization of the city’s educational institutions and healthcare facilities.
Implementation:● Stage I (supported by EBRD and E5P; loan – €10 million, grant – €2.5 million): Modernized 80 educational institutions, reducing energy consumption by 40%.● Stage II: EBRD loan – €25 million, E5P grant – €9.5 million● Stage III (2025): EBRD loan – €25 million, UIF grant – €8 million; 88 facilities selected for participation — 41 schools, 44 kindergartens, 3 healthcare institutions
