Modernisation of the water supply system and water supply networks

Objective: Providing the population of the Apostolove community with quality drinking water through the reconstruction and modernisation of the community's water supply system.
After the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant dam was blown up, the community was left without drinking water supply, and the condition of the water supply networks and pump and filter stations deteriorated significantly.The project to upgrade the water supply system and replace pipelines will primarily meet the need of residents for high-quality drinking water, which will be supplied centrally, without time limits and every day.

Overhaul of the Suchasnyk House of Culture

The project will create safe and comfortable conditions for creative growth, development of children and youth, cultural recreation of community residents, expansion of the institution’s network of sectional and club activities, promotion of healthy lifestyles and sports, preservation and enhancement of cultural heritage.
Building up barrier-free access to the facility for people with limited mobility and people with disabilities will allow them to spend their leisure time on equal terms and rights with other community members.

Reconstruction of a lyceum with a pre-school group

The project will ensure the creation of a modern, safe and comfortable learning space for all age groups of children in Kamianka village, and get appropriate conditions for their upbringing and education at school. The project also provides for measures to improve the conditions for children's active recreation and various sports on the territory of the lyceum.
After the reconstruction, energy costs will be reduced, which will further improve the material and technical support of the educational institution.

● Communiry is located in the steppe zone in the south of the Dnipropetrovsk region and borders Kherson region.● 180 km from the regional centre, Dnipro, and 45 km from the district centre, Kryvyi Rih.● It is a key railway junction at the intersection of two railway lines connecting Kryvyi Rih with Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Odesa, and Simferopol (Crimea).● The national motorway Kropyvnytskyi - Zaporizhzhia is also 2 km away.

One of the main resources of the community is its land. Black soils predominate, with a humus content of 3.9-4.2% and a humus horizon depth of 60-85 cm.

The pearl of the region is the landscape reserve of national importance Kamiansky - a coastal and river complex with the most valuable and picturesque area of wild nature of the Ukrainian steppe.

The Kamianka, Zhovtenka, Bazavluchok rivers and the Voshyva beam, which flows into the Kamianka river, flow through the community.
Community also has 19 ponds, a reservoir and the Kryvyi Rih - Dnipro canal, which provided drinking water to the population before the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant dam was blown up.

Overhaul of the Apostolove Lyceum №3

Objective: Ensuring access to education for children affected by the conflict

What has been done: The roof of Apostolivske Lyceum No. 3 was overhauled with an area of 600 sq m and 49 windows were replaced.

Creating safe sports spaces

Creation of safe sports spaces in the Apostolove urban territorial community within the framework of the project «Development of cohesive communities in the Dnipro region»

Objective: Promoting physical activity and sports among the rural residents of the Apostolove community by creating modern sports spaces
What has been done: the project is in progress
It is planned to create 4 sports locations in the simplest shelters for rural residents. Sports equipment for children and adults, tennis tables, and repairs to the shelters have been purchased.

What has been done: Under the programme, the following were received: a solar station with a storage device for the municipal enterprise Apostolove Municipal Hospital and an energy storage system for the Administrative Services Centre. Currently (in progress).

We also received a car for transporting people with limited mobility, medical equipment (gynaecology room), mobile treatment units, water tanks, hygiene kits and construction materials.

The economy of the Apostolove community is diversified, but mostly focused on the agricultural sector:

Cultivation of grains and oilseeds

Livestock farming (beekeeping, cattle)

Oil production, milk processing

The community is distinguished by a large number of agricultural entities: 160 business entities, including 52 farms.
The town of Apostolove is a railway junction. Apostolove is a railway cargo and passenger hub and is one of the largest taxpayers.
The community has a well-developed retail trade network, which allows it to provide the population with food and non-food products and increase turnover.
The priority form of ownership remains private.

As a result of the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant dam, the community was left with a difficult situation with drinking water supply, and was unable to take water from the Dnipro-Kryvyi Rih canal and supply it to Apostolove town.
