UKRAINE'S COOPERATION WITH IFC WILL HELP ATTRACT INVESTMENT IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEMS
At the initiative of the Ministry of Energy, Ukraine and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) are planning to implement a project that will help attract investment to stimulate the development of energy storage systems.
This was discussed at a meeting with an IFC delegation headed by Lisa Kestner, Head of the Corporation's Regional Office for Ukraine and Moldova, held at the Ministry of Energy with the participation of Deputy Energy Ministers Farid Safarov and Yaroslav Demchenkov.
The meeting discussed the possible stages of implementation, the required investment and the importance of developing this energy sector, which will strengthen the resilience and stability of the energy system.
The parties discussed the implementation of the cooperation project, which was planned to be launched before the start of russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. Given the military challenges and the risks of damage to energy infrastructure, its relevance has only increased.
After all, energy storage systems can play a significant role in balancing the energy system, which is extremely important for Ukraine.
It is also an important step towards the implementation of the Energy Strategy presented by Energy Minister German Galushchenko on the development of green generation.
