Today at URC2025, the panel "Investing in Ukraine's critical minerals: a strategic asset for global supply chains" took place.

🎤 Olena Pavlenko from DiXi Group noted that Ukraine is a strategic partner for Ukraine's key partners in the field of CRM (Critical Raw Materials), as it has reserves of:

✔23 out of 50 minerals recognised by CRM in the USA

✔26 out of 34 recognised by CRM in the EU

✔17 out of 34 recognised by CRM in the UK

🎤 Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine Yegor Perelyhin noted that Ukraine is currently undergoing a large-scale digitisation of geological data funded by the EBRD. This refers to the volumes of geological information that Ukraine inherited from the USSR. This process should give an impetus to new geological expeditions, stimulate additional exploration using new technologies and further comprehensive updating of geological data.

🎤Arvid Türkner, EBRD Executive Director for Ukraine and Moldova, added that the EBRD is extremely interested in high-quality geological data, as the bank has experience of investing in 70 mining projects in different countries. And last year, the bank entered the junior investment market in subsoil use, which is comparable to seed funding in IT and FinTech projects.

📄 Immediately after the panel, a memorandum was signed between the EBRD and BGV Group Management on investments in the Balakhivske graphite deposit.

🎤Sergiy Voitsekhovsky of BGV Group Management noted that last year alone, the EU imported 110 thousand tonnes of graphite concentrate from China, and the trade restrictions currently being applied by China could have a negative impact on high-tech European markets.

👁‍🗨 That is why the European Commission has identified this project with the EBRD as strategically important, which sends a positive signal to the entire industry: Ukraine has great mining potential, and this is just the beginning.

💼 It should be noted that on 13 November in Warsaw, at the Ukrainian Subsoil Wealth Conference, the organisers of ReBuild Ukraine and the National Association of Extractive Industries of Ukraine will present relevant projects not only in the field of CRM, but also in other minerals.

Сьогодні на URC2025 відбулась панель "Інвестиції в критичні мінерали України: стратегічний актив для світових ланцюгів постачання".

🎤 Олена Павленко з DiXi Group зазначила, що Україна є стратегічним партнером для ключових партнерів України в галузі CRM (Critical Raw Materials), адже володіє запасами:

✔23 з 50 мінералів, визнаними CRM в США

✔26 з 34, визнаних СRM в ЄС

✔17 з 34, визнаних CRM в Великобританії

🎤 Заступник Міністра захисту довкілля та природних ресурсів України Єгор Перелигін (Yegor Perelygin) зазначив, що зараз в Україні відбувається масштабне оцифрування геологічних даних, яке фінансує ЄБРР. Мова йде про томи геологічної інформації, які залишились Україні у спадок від СРСР. Цей процес має дати поштовх новим геологічним експедиціям, стимулювати дорозвідку за допомогою нових технологій та подальше комплексне оновлення геологічних даних.

🎤 Виконавчий директор з України та Молдови ЄБРР Арвід Тюркнер додав, що ЄБРР надзвичайно зацікавлений в якісних геологічних даних, адже банк має досвід інвестицій в 70 добувних проєктів в різних країнах. А минулого року банк вийшов на ринок юніорських інвестицій в надрокористування, який можна порівняти зі стартовим (seed) фінансуванням в IT та FinTech проєктах.

📄Одразу після панелі відбулось підписання меморандуму між ЄБРР (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)) та BGV Group Management щодо інвестицій в Балахівське родовище графіту.

🎤 Сергій Войцеховський з BGV Group Management зазначив, що лише минулого року ЄС імпортував з Китаю 110 тис. т графітового концентрату, а торговельні обмеження, які зараз застосовує Китай, можуть негативно вплинути на високотехнологічні європейські ринки.

👁‍🗨Саме тому, Європейська Комісія визначила цей проєкт з ЄБРР стратегічно важливим, що дає позитивний сигнал для всієї галузі: у України великий добувний потенціал, і це лише початок.

💼 Зазначимо, що 13 листопада в Варшаві на конференції Ukrainian Subsoil Wealth Conference організатори ReBuild Ukraine та Національна Асоціація Добувної Промисловості України презентують актуальні проєкти не тільки в галузі CRM, а й інших корисних копалин.
