ReBuild Ukraine supports the Ukrainian Wind Energy Forum 2025
Wind energy — a fuel-free, import-independent source — holds the potential to become a cornerstone of Ukraine’s future decentralized and resilient energy system. Its development is no longer just an economic imperative, but a national security priority. Yet today, more than ever, this dynamic sector requires bold partnerships, large-scale investment, investor-friendly lending solutions, long-term risk mitigation instruments, and hands-on involvement from international investors, development agencies, and financial institutions.
On September 09-10, 2025, the city of Lviv will host the Ukrainian Wind Energy Forum 2025 — a strategic dialogue platform and financial-investment hub uniting key stakeholders: banks, investment funds, developers, government officials, donors, traders, and service providers who see not just challenges, but opportunities in Ukraine’s wind energy market.
This year’s Forum is structured in two parts:
Day One – September 9
A full day of high-level thematic sessions focused on:
§ Attracting project financing under wartime risks and new investment guarantee mechanisms;
§ Institutional support from EBRD, IFC, KfW, and other financial partners already active in Ukraine;
§ The role of Ukrainian banks in driving energy transition through credit instruments, risk management, and consolidated financial approaches;
§ Structuring agreements between developers, investors, funds, and government agencies;
§ Supply chain and logistics challenges in wartime;
§ Innovative O&M models;
§ Regulatory changes impacting the traditional development path of wind power projects.
Special focus will be placed on real-life investment cases in Ukrainian wind farms implemented during wartime as well as pitches of new, implementation-ready projects.
Day Two – September 10
Participants will have the opportunity to visit two wind farms constructed during the war:
§ Skolivska Wind Farm in Lviv region, operated by Eco-Optima LLC,
§ Ostrovskyi Wind Park in Zakarpattia region, owned by Wind Parks of Ukraine Management Company LLC.
The Forum has already garnered strong support from WindEurope, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, and top-tier companies and financial institutions in the industry. This year’s General Partner is Vestas, a leading Danish wind energy company. The First Strategic Partner is the Ukrainian logistics firm TAD.
